Exhibition at De Schakel in Wijchen

From 16 September to 28 October I am exhibiting together with Roeli Willekes at De Schakel, the meeting centre of the PKN (Protestant Church in the Netherlands). Opening hours are limited, see the poster!

The first encounter between art and community has now taken place, and people have responded enthusiastically.

On 14 October there will be the ‘service with art’, when the artists will explain their work. A warm welcome!

You can see a small foretaste alongside. A wooden sculpture with a bicycle crank as a halo. The pedal points upwards as a hint: seek the kingdom that Jesus spoke about.

The wood shows a human figure that looks at you. In its vulnerability it also shows its heart, with full conviction.
